We're the UK’s 1st Black-British Tennis Club and Heritage Society, based in London. Also known as NTC!

A fun, mobile, social tennis club where sports meets socials!

Open to both males and females over the age of 18, where monthly Group Tennis Sessions (GTS) are held (in colder periods) and fortnightly sessions in warmer periods. All Group Tennis Sessions (GTS) are recreational and very beginner friendly!

We're a beginner friendly environment where all skill levels are welcomed and players are partnered by competence.

As a private tennis club, we also offer private coaching lesson which are optional, but advisable for those who want to take their game to the next level or seriously.

Asides from tennis, Noir Tennis Club is a social club, so we host different types of social events subject to member’s choice, club themes and seasons. We tend to run more socials in colder periods when outdoor courts are shut/too cold to play in and indoor sessions are selective (Winter is our social season).

Our aim is promoting and celebrating; black fitness, culture, sports, heritage, arts,society and joy. Helping widen access and pathways to varied sports for the UK’s BME community, whilst boosting black cultural representation in underrepresented domains, globally. This is a safe space to come build community, make new friends, connections and develop a lifestyle that benefits your health.

NTC is a black and black-mixed heritage society, open to all who support and respect our community, club rules and ethics.

We're the first of our kind, established for the creation of what we call and hope to pioneer, a ‘Black-British Renaissance’, through tennis, sports, culture and arts. A safe space for recreation, society building, black excellence, joy and much more.

We have TWO types of Group Tennis Sessions (GTS) and we call them GTS's.

1. OUTDOOR GTS, and

2. INDOOR GTS.

Group Tennis Sessions (GTS) are subject to location and court(s) types, but generally average to the same amount each time.

On average OUTDOOR Group Tennis Sessions (GTS) are about £8.99 p/p and INDOOR Group Tennis Sessions (GTS) are about £14.99 p/p. (Indoor courts are considerable more expensive per hour compared to outdoor sessions, so are chargeable at a premium and generally come at a higher fee).

We're amongst the most affordable tennis club in London and generally try to keep all club tickets at affordable prices for our members, averaging to around £8.99p/person, per/session.

for regular players we advise and cost effectiveness we advise checking our our membership packages and subscribing for the added perks and discounts.

YOUR EQUIPMENT:

Racquet!

We provide you with the general equipment needed for each sessions. However, all attendees are required to bring their own tennis racquets.

Racquets are not provided, though we usually have spares to share, we still advise all joiners come along with their racquets to avoid disappointment,

Everything else is optional - Some members tend to bring their own balls, though club (tennis) balls are provided by organisers in each session.

YOUR ATTIRE:

Comfortable Sportswear/Formal Tennis Outfits - Your Choice!

Feel free to come along in your sportswear. You don't have to come fully kitted in tennis attire, though it is encouraged in keeping with tradition. However, leggings and/tracksuits are perfectly acceptable, so don't split hairs on what to wear and just come along.

You'll however, need trainers/sneakers/any suitable sports-wear/footwear to play.

Everywhere in London!

We're a mobile club, so we don't currently have a set location for play, but that's what makes us unique and flexible. Our courts are secured on rotation and booked subject to player preference and/or availability. This also affords club members the chance to attend/host sessions in and around their catchment areas on occasion.

Generally, all sessions are held in London, as we are a London based club. We try to always secure centralised London locations for the ease of all attendees, but we cannot cater to everyone at the same time, so members are expected to be flexible on occasion and also stretch to try new places and meet new faces. Courts are always in high demand on weekends and evenings in London, but we always make great things happen.

Our sessions are also more popularly held in and around; Central, South East London, East London and/or North Central.

Membership is optional, but greatly encouraged!

Club membership is highly advised as this is a private club. Some things are exclusively accessible to members only and there are far more club perks, benefits and recognition that come with private membership.

Non-members are always free to purchase singular tickets (COWRIES) and join us at any of our group tennis sessions, or even come along to any of our socials - without formal membership registration, just 'pay and play'.

However, by default non-members will not be privy to useful/live club information, discounts, networking platforms, some socials, planned holidays, as well as other exclusive club perks.

18 or older!

Noir Tennis Club (NTC) is open to both adult male and females over the age of 18 (I.D may be required during membership registration, or upon attendance, subject to organisers discretion).

Underage attendees (anyone under the age of 18) will need to be accompanied by their legal guardian and/or parent who will also be wholly responsible for the safeguarding of this/these individual(s).

For now, NTC is an adult only space. Therefore, please note that the club and/or members of the club will not under any instance/circumstance be responsible/liable for any underage individual(s). Such individual(s) may be turned away by the club and refunded their monies if need be.

We hope you can understand the need for safety and will respect club rules. We do intend to grow and create a teens and junior division in the foreseeable future, but until then, please adhere to rules.

Unfortunately, no!

In person payments and/upon arrival payments are prohibited for safety and audit reasons.

It is a requirement for all tickets to be purchased prior to attendance and date of the event.

It's also important for us to know who we are catering to. We keep a list of our attendees in order to establish group safety and ensure only paying members are playing members and all in attendance have agreed to comply with club rules and ethics and are eligible to play.

Noir Tennis Club, aka NTC is a mobile, social tennis & heritage club.

We're pioneering what we call ‘The Black-British Renaissance’ through tennis, sports, culture and arts. Bringing the vibrancy of culture to life through our socials, which are the heart of our club.

Noir Tennis Club socials are colourful, eventful gatherings for the cultural celebrations and the expression of black joy, fun, arts, intellect and innovation. "it's the expression of self through relevant community hangouts, games, debates, connections and soul for the exchange of swag, intellect and ideas".

Our socials are events held and organised by the club (NTC) and, or in collaboration with other groups we like and can relate with. Pushing all members/joiners out of their comfort zones to help boost connectivity and help foster new friendships, endorse new ideas, build wealth, fitness and knowledge together.

We specifically go out of our way to thoughtfully create safe spaces for general black joy, advancement and progression. Socials are held every quarter and in some seasons every month.

Our socials vary from; games nights, to private club retreats, casual social gatherings like bowling, cinema, arts and craft, poetry nights, to education and self-development events like; history & heritage exhibitions, generational wealth creation events, business and career networking events, property management events, black skin & beauty exhibitions/workshops, and many, many other progressive topics of interest for the community.

For this reason, please note that although our club warmly welcomes all, some events and socials may be exclusively tailored to the black and ethnic members of our club, to help boost BME representation and or education within the community or in underrepresented narratives.

Therefore, this may also require the safeguarding of our cultural and emotional interest, so all joiners should please remember to exercise discretion where needed and be sensitive on certain matters. Bring good vibes always.

Our socials vary based on the type of event(s) being held, who we're collaborating with and when - all tickets are subjective and generally begin from £17.99.

Look out for our adverts on Instagram, Tiktok, or this website where our upcoming socials are routinely announced.

Members of the club are exclusively able to vote for the social of their choice and once agreed, events are then privately organised by the club, or held in collaboration with other organisations.

All tickets are made purchasable via our group chat and, or this website (here) ONLY! NOT THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA DM'S!

(Please do not make payments to anyone posing as representatives of the club. All club payments are take in our Whatsapp group chat via a private link, by the organisers only, or via our I.G page (in our bio) and this website only).

Paying via other means, or off a fake page is not condoned and you do so at your own risk.

P.S: Noir Tennis Club is also never spelt with an 'e' (it's NOIR, not NOIRE) so don't ever be fooled by these scammers, low-lives and 'wanna-be's' who want to be us, but can never. We're the 1st and Only and if ever in doubt, please reach out. We're here to help you.

All genuine ticket purchases are followed up with accompanying details from us.

You'll receive notification of payment and, or booking confirmation!

Once payment is complete and accepted, you’ll receive email notification of payment and, or your new membership.

You will also be provide your booking details, followed by either a text, a call, or a email ( please check your spam/junk box and add us 'NOIR TENNIS CLUB' to your trusted sender list to avoid missing important receipts and mail) .

If you've also registered for membership, you'll be automatically added to the clubs private group chat, where you'll gain exclusive access to live updates, group conversations, as well as, be able to connect with other members.

Details regarding session/event time, location, commute, tickets and court type etc… will be sent to you in detail ahead of time via email. This also includes details for club social, with necessary/helpful contact details, should you require urgent assistance.

If for whatever reason you do not hear from us after purchasing a ticket, kindly get in touch with us via our online chat box/ email as soon as possible and a member of our team will be in touch. (please also allow 24 hour grace period for all details to come through).

Coaching prices vary based on coaches’ fees, level of expertise, set location, and number of sessions etc...

We also have our in-house club coach, who holds Coached Group Tennis Sessions (GTS) at more affordable prices. Sessions are held on demand. Average price for Coach GTS is £35.99.

We also make it our prerogative to patronise tennis coach within the community as first preference to help boost and promote black representation within the sport.

This is important to us, because such talent is often overlooked or underrepresented.

This includes, but is not limited to trainers, coaches, mentors, reps, etc... We do this to help empower these professionals within our community flourish, build notoriety within their domains, progress our society and include her in underrepresented narratives.

This doesn't mean we don't patronise other types of coaches, we certainly do and respect talent of every kind.

Group Tennis Session (GTS) are held monthly in colder periods and fortnightly (every 2 weeks) in warmer periods of the year, such as summer.

Sessions are always advertised on our home page and via our socials. If you're still unsure, drop a message in the chat box, or email us noirtennisclub@gmail.com for live updates.

Tennis session announcements i.e. regarding last minute changes etc... are also publicly announced via our club’s social media accounts (you can follow us here; I.G, Tiktok), or via our private Whatsapp group chat, which is exclusively accessible to members of the club only.

Alternatively, general ticket release for club socials can be found via all our social media pages i.e. Instagram, Tiktok and/our website.

Yes of course, as long as they pay lol!

Noir Tennis Club is open to all who respect the black community and can adhere to club rules and ethics irrespective of demographic.

This club was created for the inclusion of black individuals into under-represented narratives, which may sometimes require safe-guarding.

Therefore, we do not and will not tolerate any form of racism, harassment and, or antagonism.

Noir Tennis Club (NTC) demands all those who attend, or wish to attend any of our events or programs uphold and maintain this club and its presence as a safe space and environment for all. Most especially for the black and black heritage members of our black society, both in virtually and in reality.

All NTC members must be allowed to exist in peace and build fitness and community without agitation.

This club was created for the progression, promotion and representation of black fitness and lifestyle within the black community, irrespective of our various ethnic differences, descent and, or heritage. It is also worth noting, that asides from racism, no forms of ethnocentrism, colourism and, or xenophobia will be tolerated.

We are intentionally widening access and pathways to varied sports and opportunities within our community.

Adding black and black heritage individuals to conventional, and culturally and ethnically underrepresented narrative of fitness, tennis, affluence and society, globally. This is all.

Yes!

All members, or attendees who have paid in full and are entitled to a refund, can receive a refund - provided they meet the T&C.

Refunds are only unavailable after payment cut-off dates (please see home page for details on GTS cut off dates or ask the organiser - cut off dates are usually 6 days prior to the event in question or once club payments are made to secure courts or cost of socials) and/or once courts have been secured (whichever comes first - please ask the organiser, or drop a query in chat box with your email for response).

Alternatively, the exception to non-refunds will be club cancellations - in which instance, all paid attendees will be entitled to a full refund of their monies and, or have the option to defer their payments to be used against the club’s next Group Tennis Session or Social (this is subject to each paid individuals preference and agreed with the organiser).

We don't struggle with refunds and are big on integrity. So provided the process is straight-forward, the refund will be straight-forward.

Refunds on average are acknowledged on the same day, but in some instances can take up to 3-7 business days. Please contact us immediately if there are any delays and we will assist you.

We're a growing club and subscriptions are subject to varying price plans and/tariffs.

The cost of your subscription is subject to the type of membership package you subscribe to, or have been offered.

Additionally, outdoor tickets are sold in summer periods and indoor tickets in colder periods of the year.

Group Tennis Session (GTS) 'Cowries' tickets are subject to availability and nature of court booked, i.e indoor/outdoor sessions.

However, outdoor GTS ticket prices average to about £8.99p/p.

'Pay 2 Play' simply refers to a stand-alone ticket for our next up-coming Group Tennis Session (GTS). It’s the option to play without the need for membership. You just pay and play!

Usually, this is possibly what just saw advertised as our next GTS.

Our 'Pay 2 Play' tickets are referred to as 'COWRIES' on the Plans & Pricing page. Simply, select the correct type of 'cowries' ticket you need (this will either be an indoor ‘cowries’ ticket, or an outdoor ‘cowries’ ticket) based on the session(s) advertised, then proceed to pay.

(Please ensure you select the correct type of ticket as you won't gain access to indoor sessions with outdoor tickets - the correct ticket type will always be advertised on our posters and labelled on our home page under the upcoming 'Group Tennis Session' section and, or on our social media pages I.G, Tiktok to avoid confusion.)

Also note, Cowries tickets are wholly separate from our other membership subscription packages, i.e. Nubian, Nomad, African Ivory, etc... (and does not subscribe you to any membership).
